We all love going to Sinhagad on the weekends for a quick getaway or a fun trek to get those endorphins flowing. Currently, the only two ways to reach the apex of the fort is to either drive or trek up. The state government has recently appointed a special eight-member committee appointed under the chief engineer of the state public works department who will assess if a tourist spot needs to install a ropeway not just a tourist attraction, but also as an alternative mode of transport.

In good news, the committee has already cleared ropeways at Sinhagad and Matheran. Apart from this, other proposed ropeways include - Gateway Of India, Elephanta Island, Borivali and Gorai, Malad and Marve in the foreseeable future. Think about the gorgeous views of the city and as far as the eyes can see. Make sure you take lots of pictures for the gram! Not only will this move attract tourists, but it also presents a cheaper and cost-effective alternative to travel by ropeways. Now, we really like the sound of that!
