Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has shaped a lot of the political and historic features of the Maratha empire and as an ode to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and all the 350-odd forts that were salient features. To give a nod to the great leader, the great historian, Shri Babasaheb Punrandare has developed ‘Shivasrushti’ an epic heritage park in Ambegaon (off Katraj bypass) will be a one-stop treasure house that will offer a holistic experience of the inspiring Maratha history. It is built and managed by the Maharaja Shivchhatrapati Pratishthan (Trust) and as the first part of the project, Sarkar Wada is already complete and standing in all its glory.

The Wada is built as a homage to all the other Wadas in Maharashtra and the fort-like architecture with arched entrances and wooden undertones. This is a platform to teach the younger generation of our rich history and untold stories. The Wada is historic in all its sense right from the large entrance into an open park gives you real palace feels. With doors as high as 15 feet and stone steps, the grandeur courtyard is equipped with a musical fountain, artistic hand-drawn wall paintings and murals.
