India has one of the largest railway systems in the world, and it’s well connected. But sometimes you read stories of freaky train accidents happening in India, but never think something like that could happen to you. But in a freaky turn of events on Thursday a train engine barged its way into ongoing traffic and got stuck on a public road made for motorists.

The incident took place at Bopodi Railway station when the train's locomotive was being moved to another yard as it had to make way for another train in the stockyards. However, due to some confusion, the driver steered the locomotive onto a public road with ongoing traffic. And this is the best part, because of this boo-boo, the driver ran away in fear of being caught! Luckily, no one was hurt or injured. But this incident raises a lot of safety concerns as to why weren't the train lines cordoned off? As soon as the incident happened, military personnel rushed to the scene and tried to sort it out. However, there are no clear reports or a formal statement from the officials about the incident lodged.

Even after all this, the road was not blocked for traffic, and motorists simply made their way around the train and moved on. We’re hoping rescue operations are on its way and strict action is taken again the driver. We also urge the railway authorities to amp up their safety measures, to avoid such accidents in the future!
