Located just four km away from Bir Lake, Panchbol is a viewpoint like no other. On one side you can see coffee plantations and on the other, you can see the whole valley which is a point where five hills all merge. Almost like an echo point, you can get some amazing surround sound here! The name comes from the fact that when you scream, the echo comes back five times, hence the name Panchbol. The viewpoint is safeguarded by railings for safety so it’s safe for kids and adults alike. So, scream out at the top of your lungs.

Located near Shakar Lake, Devi Point is where the river Chandrabhaga originates and flows downstream. This point is super picturesque as you can see the whole of Melghat Sanctuary from up top. The name Devi Point comes from the fact that there is a Devi shrine. There is a newly constructed temple to protect the shrine as thousands of devotees flock here to pay their respects. In the vast expanse views, you can also spot the Amravati Fort from this point.

Located right next to the MTDC Mozari Point Resort, this viewpoint gives you unparalleled views of the valley. The lush carpet of greenery is best enjoyed during the monsoons, which also give you the feeling of being on cloud 9, as the clouds float under you. The point has a few benches where you can sit and soak in the views. The cherry on top is that with the resort right next door, you can check-in and have an amazing valley facing room for some stunning views in the mornings and evenings.

This point is located on the Vairat hills which was once considered to be King’s Vairat‘s capital in the Mahabharata era. Here’s a piece of history for you. The sunset also lights up the Satpura Range in all its glory.

Bhimkund holds an important place in Hindu Mythology where it is believed that Bhim killed Keechaka and threw him in the valley and took a bath in the lake nearby. Hence, the lake and spot are called Bhimkund. The viewpoint is located way above sea level and you can’t see the lake but you can witness the Bhimkund Waterfall from the opposite cliff. The milky white water gushes down and meets the lake. This is an absolute beauty that is enjoyed only during the monsoons. So plan your trip accordingly.

This small viewpoint offers a different view since it is located on a different side of the hill station. The viewpoint has a well-paved path and railings to keep the enthu cutlets looking over it safely. The monsoons and winters are the best time to visit as you can see small waterfalls and clouds rolling in. But the mistiness also does compromise the vantage view from the apex. Carry a few snacks or a book and just spend some time taking in the views.
