Pune is blessed with many green parks, lakes and ponds that are spread all over the city. But we feel that Pimpri-Chinchwad is still a lesser-known part, that we’re slowly uncovering hidden gems. Recently, we came across Shivaji Park Lake located near Spine Road. Shivaji Park is a hidden green oasis in the middle of an urban jungle. The park is huge and is great for walkers, ideal for both a morning or an evening stroll.

The park has tonnes of bamboo trees and a pathway that you can enjoy taking a leisure walk or cycle on. But the best part is that most parks have fountains and fancy features, but this one is hiding a mini lake inside. With ducks swimming around and fishes calling it home, the lake will mesmerise you. The park has a lush green lawn where you can enjoy a picnic with the kids and the family.

The park is uber clean and dotted with bougainvillaeas, and when in full bloom create pink and purple coloured pathways. Simply, gorgeous! For the kiddos, they even have swings and slides for them to have some masti on. So if you want a break from the bustling city life and craving for some nature and solitude, you know where to head to!
