Pune Airport May Start Operations From 25th May And Here Are The Do's & Don'ts!

Good news frequent flyers, the Pune Airport may resume operations from May 25, and we have all the do’s and don’ts when it comes to flying in the time of a pandemic. So, read on!

After almost two months hiatus, the Aviation Minister has given the go-ahead for domestic flights to resume operations in a staggered manner from May 25th. The Aviation Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri also tweeted that new guidelines will be given to the airport authorities for smooth functioning.

In a series of tweets released by the Pune Airport Authorities, these are the guidelines they have laid out for travellers. All passengers are asked to practice social distancing. They are requested to arrive at the airport two to four hours prior to departure to avoid congestion and not compromise security procedures. All passengers, before entering the airport will have to go through a thermal screening and symptomatic passengers will not be allowed to enter the airport. The Government of India has now permitted all passengers to carry hand sanitizer bottles up to 350 ml in their hand baggage. Wearing a face mask is compulsory and should be removed only for identity verification.

Want to say bye-bye to friends and family? Avoid as much as possible to reduce the congestion on the curb. It is not a compulsion, but they do suggest you download the Aarogya Setu app and it is not mandatory for children below the age of 14. The trolleys and other surfaces in the airport will be timely sanitized, but they have requested passengers to not use trolleys unless necessary and to carry minimum luggage. The F & B section of the airport is also open and will accept and are encouraging to use contactless digital payment methods. So take note Punekars and have a safe flight!
