Just 50 km away from Pune and 188 km away from Mumbai, Lavasa is often called the French Riveria of Maharashtra. Overlooking the Mutha River, Lavasa makes for a get one-day getaway spot for that much-needed break. Hiding in plain sight, Lavasa has a beautiful nature trail, that anybody can embark upon! Many might know this trail that passes through Ekaant Resorts, but the pathway is riddled with trees and nature and lots of wildlife.


The narrow trail has a clear pathway coupled with steps to guide you to the viewpoint. Make sure you carry your camera with you as you’ll come across many birds, birdhouses, wild plants, butterflies, flowers and some wild insects too! Don’t worry, you won’t find any wild animals so it’s very safe for the kiddos too! When you finally make your way to the viewpoint, where you’ll be able to capture and take in the most breathtaking views of the mountains, water and all of the surroundings.

Be it the summers, monsoons or the winters, the trail is open all year-round and it’s completely free of cost! The best time is to catch the sunset in the evening, but make sure you get back to civilization before dark.
