Situated in a bungalow which looks straight out of the bylanes in Kerala, the interiors are done up nicely with wooden furniture and mood lighting.You’ll start the meal on an interesting note, they serve a delicious and healthy concoction of Kerala spices and beetroot water. Next up, you’re served with small and cute-looking poppadums which will be demolished in a jiffy. We suggest you savour these as you decide what to order from their extensive menu.We started our meal with their speciality Rasam, one of the finest ones in the city, you simply cannot miss this one. We loved the Koonu Masala Curry, which is a spicy mushroom curry balanced beautifully with coconut. If you love coconut, then you’re in for a treat as most of the dishes have this staple!  Pair the curry with either Appams or Kerala Style Parottas. If you’re looking for non-vegetarian, seafood or buff, they have similar options in all the choices of meats too. The authenticity of the dishes lives up to our expectations. If you want something just for yourself and you won’t share it, it will have to be the Special Kerala Thali available during lunch hours. Just like Sadhya, this meal too is served on a banana leaf.There’s a whole long list of some classic beverages and a must is the Moru Velam which is masala chaas that’s super spiced with coriander seeds and curry leaves. Their sweet offerings are varied. The Tender Coconut Ice cream has fresh coconut chunks and nuts inside it which made it a whole lot different. They also have some other interesting desserts like the Jaggery and Coconut Custard or Steamed Bananas with Honey.However, our pick was quintessential and delicious till the last bite, the Classic Payasam made with jaggery, milk, nuts along with Rice Krispies. The balance of natural sugar and spices makes it one of the really irresistible one to try amongst the rest. Every day, they serve Payasam of the day so make sure you ask for it.
