Aga Khan Palace Will Be All Lit-Up And Open To Public For Viewing Till 9 PM!

If you haven't visited Aga Khan Palace in Pune because you haven't had the time then stop your excuses right there. According to the Archaeological Survey Of India (ASI), Aga Khan Palace will be open till 9 pm to all visitors. So keep on reading to know more about the lit details.

The historic Aga Khan Palace in Pune will be open to public till 9 pm and that's not it, the facade of the monument will be lit up too. The ASI has taken up the project of illuminating important monuments in the country and based on that Aga Khan Palace was chosen as well. The task has undertaken by Vin Semiconductors. According to them more than 1000 advanced LEDs have been used and they consume less than 62 percent electricity than the conventional light fixtures. Isn't that great news? 

Aga Khan Palace in PuneThe idea to light up monuments is to encourage night tourism and increase the number of visitors. The public can witness the beauty of a lit-up Aga Khan Palace after 5:30 pm every evening. “We have received a letter from ASI headquarters in New Delhi, stating that the palace should be kept open till 9 pm as part of the LED illumination project undertaken by ASI. The museum in the palace is also being refurbished. The revamped museum is open for viewing till 5.30 pm. Visitors would be allowed to enter the precincts of the monument and witness the lighting," an ASI official said in a quote to The Times of India. 

The officials also plan to start on a light show from 6 pm onwards but we'll have to wait for more details on that.
