If the underlying sarcasm was not clear, then we would like to point out that the pothole situation in the city in various parts is worsening with each passing day. The roads are in bad shape, the construction work for a better Mumbai in various locales has added more to the worries and miseries of the commuters than give them relief.
Each year BMC promises that right before monsoon, all the holes will be filled and taken care of. But does that really happen. Hell, there is a crater right outside the RTO Office in Andheri, where yours truly can swim. But still BMC's standing committee says that Mumbai is Pothole-free. We wanna believe them, but we kinda believe our eyes more so that something like this (video below) doesn't happen to us.
@PMOIndia @nitin_gadkari how much fine to contractor for potholes ?
— Jayesh KhimjiRambhia (@JayeshRambhia) September 4, 2019
Do we pay tax for such roads ?
Unless there is accountability of officers , not much will change
