The stretch is known for its rock formation and hence the black sand that is formed after coastal erosion. Unlike other beaches in the area where you can enjoy a dip, going into Hedvi beach is not advisable. Swimming is a strict no-no. The beach stretch is small, but very beautiful.

It has a natural gorge called Brahman Ghal, which is about 35 feet in length, 20 feet in depth, and 2 feet wide. The gorge is about 3 km away from the Dashbhuja Ganesh Temple, the one in which Ganesha idol has ten hands. People from far and wide come to witness this natural wonder and seek Lord Ganesha's blessings. When the waves splash on the rocks, the sight and sound of it is one for the memories.
