Mumbai Or Bengaluru? Who Gave Us The Viral Idli On Ice-Cream Sticks? Deets Inside!

There are two sides to the same coin and here we are with two sides of a viral image doing rounds on the internet. Did you see an ice-cream stick with idli on it? Crazy, right?! Well here’s decoding its origin, come along!

With the internet within easy access, Netizens share information and take offence at a similar pace (extensively), and the idli on ice-cream stick is a fresh example. South India’s staple breakfast has been given a western twist, with idlis stuck on an ice-cream stick with chutney and sambhar on the side.

While some foodies consider it a practical approach to savor the delicacy, others seem to be unimpressed and pretty offended by this change. If you ask us, this is better than having biryani with mayonnaise *hides self*

While social media was busy blaming or congratulating Bengaluru for the innovation, a Mumbai-based homemaker Minal Badheka stood up taking credit for the same. “My innovation goes viral without giving me credit for it and has been used by many chefs on social media and YouTube. Follow me on Insta minalskitchen8373,” (sic) she posted on her Facebook page, along with the moulds used.

The viral images circulated all over WhatsApp and mostly in and around Bengaluru, leaving viewers clueless about the origin of the innovation. It finally did reach Mumbai circuit. But since the image has no credits, it is hard to tell.

A completely other section of the Tweeple think it was ice-cream candy as someone pointing out signs of melting. Arey, aakhir sach kya hai?
