Vada Pav is bae, and Goan food is boo. So when we found out that you get meaner, badder and, dare I say, better variations of vada pav in Goa, we lost all chill! We would be game for a vada pav at any given time. And with these Pav cousins in Goa, we have more to look forward to.

1. Mirchi Pav

Classic shimla mirch or capsicum batter fried and served inside a pav. Crunchy, tasty and love. If we have heard it right, this is also called Dabba Pav. Pertaining to the north side of Goa, you will find these on the streets.

In the streets of Fontainhas or central Goa, you will find this beaut. It is crunchy, crispy and has veggies packed in a patty, deep fried. Looks delish, right? It is a perfect evening snack.

When we say Goa, how can we not have a fish variations of the pav in the land of seafood? D Silva dishes out a mean Fish Cutlet Pao that has many takers. It is situated in Miramar, and you must also flock there to devour this pao. You will also find street vendors across the state selling these.

Near the NEXA showroom in Arlem, Margo is a food truck on the street that sells a mean Chicken Steak Pao. The steak is juicy, and flavorful and when had with a pao it is foodgasmic. Again, many other stalls too sell steak paos.

Those of you who love a tender, juicy, piece of beef, keep your eyes peeled for a Beef Cutlet Pav. It is available in many pockets in the state.

This cousin of Vada Pav has potato but with a twist. Now usually a vada is made of batata (aloo) mashed with chillies inside and deep fried. In Kappa Pav, the potato is sliced and fried. This too tastes yummy and is closest to Mumbai Vada Pav.
