With goods coming in from all parts of the world, it’s likely for you to chance upon a find that’ll be cherished forever but if you are not looking to buy just the colourful sights can make for a great vacation visual. 1. Palolem Flea Market

Shops lined outside the Palolem beach make the Palolem flea market which is a great place to stock up on all touristy things such as hats and caps, scarves, shorts and even decorative items such as artworks and handicrafts. 

Timings: 11 am to 8.30 pm
Things to buy: Touristy things and beach clothes and accessories
Open till: End of April 2019 before it shuts for the season to be back in September 2019

2. Anjuna Flea Market

Initiated by hippies, Anjuna Flea is where you’ll find some real gems from around the world. Vendors from all around the country line up with their goods to make money from the vast variety of crowd that flocks the flea and bargaining is a skill you must use here. You’ll also find a huge number of Russians here and the vendors seem to know the language fluently (which comes as a surprise). Post 5 pm would be ideal to visit as the sun comes down and shacks around start playing music. 

Timings: 9 am to 6 pm every Wednesday only
Things to buy: Colourful wall hangings, bed sheets, jewellery and other knick-knacks. 
Open till: Only during season time i.e: November to March.

3. Friday Night Market, Mapusa

What looks like a regular bazaar every other day transforms into a tourist’s paradise on Fridays with goods from all around the country. Here you find everything from fruits and spices to clothes and décor items and all at steal-worthy rates.

Timings: 8 am to 6.30 pm
Things to buy: Fruits, veggies, spices, antiques and traditional handicrafts, handmade pickles, sausages and more. 
Open till: All throughout the year, however the Friday market would be more interesting during season time i.e: November to March

4. Saturday Night Market, Arpora

Located in the Arpora area, the Saturday night market is famous for its food stalls that offer all kinds of world cuisine for a gastronomical delight. You’ll also find local products like beachwear, scarves, hammocks and trinkets. Plus, there’s also a section for designer wear clothes you can get great deals on. Visit during dinner time so you can gorge on delicious food while you look around to make purchases. 

Timings: 6 pm to 2.00 am
Things to buy: Designer clothes, silver jewellery and mementos of Goa
Open till: Currently on till April end. Usually, open from November to March which is peak season time. 

5. Calangute Bazaar

Shops lined outside the beach make for an interesting visual with all their touristy goods. Here’ you’ll get everything from sarongs and beach chappals to hats, shorts and even floats. You may also find some Tibetan and Kashmiri goods that you’ll need good bargaining skills to acquire. So if you are looking for beachwear and accessories, make a pit stop here.  You will also find cheap leather and clay items that make for great buys at the Calangute market square which has a lot of sellers from around the country.  

Timings: 10 am to 9 pm
Things to buy: Beachwear, souvenirs and accessories. 
Open till: Calangute bazaar is open all throughout the year but there will be more activity and better stock during season time. However, the Calangute Market Square is only active during peak tourist season i.e: November to March. 

6. Mackie’s Night Market, Baga

With live music, a wide variety of goods and over a hundred food stalls, Mackie’s night market is a must visit when in Goa. You’ll find a wide range of items to get your hands on and can also buy souvenirs from here. But mostly, enjoy the ambience, live music and food by the banks of the Baga beach to make it a memorable evening. 

Timings: 6 pm to 1 am
Things to buy: Souvenirs and food
Open till: November to April end
