Ganpati season is on and we cannot contain the excitement! This year, due to the pandemic and restrictions, people are not allowed to seek physical darshan of Bappa. But hey, virtual darshans are on. Yes, Bappa has gone online this year and many popular mandals are hosting live darshans on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Zoom and more portals. Each year, lakhs of devotees line up to catch a glimpse of Bappa and seek his blessings.

1. Lalbaugcha Raja

One of the oldest mandals in the city of Mumbai, this is the first time in 87 years that their murti is just 4 feet tall and is in Vishnu avatar. 2. Mumbai Cha Maharaja

For this year, the Khetwadi 11th lane, Mumbai Cha Maharaja did an unveiling on Facebook. The murti has been cast in the mould of Shivaji Maharaj this year. You can see Bappa on their social media.


3. Lalbaug Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal [Mumbaicha Raja], Ganesh Galli

The famous Ganesh Galli cha Mumbaicha Raja is also online this year. This is its 94th year of celebration and people are simply memserised by the 4 feet tall idol. You can catch all the festivities and poojas online on their social media pages.


4. Shivdicha Raja Ganesh

The king of Shivdi, Shivdicha Raja Ganesh’s celebrations are not going to be the usual 10 days, but 5 days instead. They upload images of the celebrations and aartis on their Facebook, and you can see Bappa online.


5. Khetwadi Cha Ganraj

This mandal was known to make the highest Ganpati idols. But due to the pandemic, they have scaled down their celebrations. Bappa this year, even though 4 feet, is stunning and you can catch him live on their website.


6. Andhericha Raja

The king of Andheri, located in Veera Desai, Andhericha Raja’s 2021 theme is heaven. It is vibrant and decked up and you will be stunned by the idol this year. All aartis, poojas and other rituals are being carried out and you can see them online on their social media handles or on their website.


7. Chinchpoklicha Raja

Chintamani of Chinchpokli also has a subdued Ganpati celebrations, but there is no stone unturned in its grandeur. You can seek darshan and be part of the festivities online via their social media handles or through their website.
