As you walk in, the restaurant will sweep you away with its wood-finished interiors, mirrors, artwork and of course the slow-paced old-Kolkata charm. Adding to the feels, the food here is served in heavy brass plates and bowls.

We started off our meal with the Fish Kabiraji; an egg-coated and crumb fried bhetki fish cutlet that was so succulent, we couldn’t stop eating! This was followed up by a course of Mutton Kosha Mangsho paired with freshly fried piping hot luchis. What came next? Chitol Peti Jhol; a spicy fish curry which we teamed up with Basanti Pulao. The Basanti Pulao was an absolute winner! A sweetish yellow rice flavoured with saffron and turmeric, garnished with cashews and raisins; team it up with a curry or have it just as it is! And as if this wasn’t enough, we topped off the meal with a serving of the absolutely indescribable Rosogolla Payesh.
