Bring Your Best Cosplay Game, Comic Con Is Coming To Mumbai

Comic Con is back in Mumbai on Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12, with cosplay opportunities, informative panels featuring the artists behind comics like The Awkward Yeti and V for Vendetta, interactive gaming zones and plenty of cool merchandise.

After making a stop in Hyderabad, Comic Con India will make its way to Mumbai on November 11 and November 12, uniting comic book fans and consumers of pop culture over a weekend of interactive sessions with artists and creators, cosplay events and plenty of merchandise.


The highlight of each edition is usually the guest panels and this time, you can look forward to talks by Nick Seluk, the man behind the popular webcomic The Awkward Yeti; David Lloyd, an artist and illustrator for Alan Moore’s V for Vendetta; Andrew Griffith, a comic book artist best known for his work on the Transformers; Abhijeet Kini, an artist for Tinkle and founder of the Angry Maushi comic series and Sailesh Gopalan, creator of satirical webcomic Brown Paper Bag.

In addition, there will be interactive zones with themes inspired by popular film, TV and comic book characters, including the Thor: Ragnorak Zone, AXN Live R.E.D Zone, Justice League Zone and the Mountain Dew Gaming Zone, which will feature virtual reality systems. Of course, this is also your chance to make believe and transform yourself in Daenerys Targaryen or Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman – the best cosplayers will have a chance to win prizes, while two lucky winners will earn a prize of Rs 50,000 in cash and enter the running to represent India at the Crown World Championship of Cosplay in Chicago. As always, there will be plenty of stalls selling merchandise such as books, t-shirts, memorabilia and equipment for artists, from brands such as Planet Superheroes, Redwolf, The Entertainment Store, Harper Collins Publishers India, Amar Chitra Katha and ICBM Comics.
