'Mookh Mishti' With Mango Sandesh: This Recipe Is Definitely Win Your Hearts & Taste Buds This Summer

Albeit the summer sweetness is unforgettable and irresistible for Kolkatans, the pandemic has truly affected the taste. The season of mangoes is ripe and if you can't go out, let the mango recipes come to you. Your favourite Sandesh is now present in a mango-licious twist.

Balaram Mullick and Radharaman Mullick were the first to innovate with the Sandesh and now, the city sweet shops are flooded with astounding variants of your favourite desserts. But to all those who are still skeptical about going out or ordering, here's how you can prepare mango Sandesh at your home. 


Ingredients: 1 and a half litres full-fat milk, 1 cup mango pulp, Half cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp lime juice or vinegar, 2-3 tbsp milk powder and Nuts for garnishing.


Method: 

1. In a heavy-bottomed vessel, boil the milk and it curdles after 5-7 minutes, strain it through a cheesecloth and wash it with water. 

2. Kepp it hanging with support to drain the excess water and this process generally takes an hour or so. 

3. Take the prepared Paneer on a plate and knead it until it gets smooth. Add some sugar and knead it further. 

4. On a heated pan, put the Paneer with mango pulp and milk powder.

5. Cook the entire mixture for 10 minutes until the mixtures leave the sides of your pan. Now, leave it aside and let it cool.

6. The shape of the Sandesh depends on you. Either, you can flatten them up or make them into small balls. 

7. Finally, garnish it nuts and serve.
