The 30 mud cottages offer stay for two to eight guests. And there’s no TV or Wi-Fi. Founder-owner Rajesh Kumar Shaw will help you plan out your Sundarbans trip, whether you stay for a night or more. The day tour group requires a minimum of four people.

You can visit fishing and honey collectors’ villages as well as watch towers here, or enjoy bird watching on a country boat until sunset and intense jungle safaris. Evenings are best spent participating in local song and dance performances at the resort.

Rural Bengali cuisine prepared in their kitchens is a must-try – think native vegetarian preparations, fresh fish and seafood curries as well as duck. We also recommend cruising on the Elmar, a fishing trawler turned cruiser complete with five cabins, a watch tower and a spacious deck to relax.
