Much so, it is safe to say that Goa has become the epicenter of this gin revolution. The newest gin to come out of Goan shores is from the house of Spirit de Goa. Run by the Sequeira family, this distillery makes much-loved Goan spirits. Be it whisky, vodka, rum, you get true-blue Goan delights. And now they have come out with Seqer, a dry gin that is handcrafted by the Sequeira heir himself.

Conceptualised during lockdown, Adriel Sequeira of Spirit de Goa created a recipe for his gin. Called Seqer, it is distilled at Raia at Adriel’s family distillery. It has 10 botanicals like juniper, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, rosemary, and more of course, cashew nuts. The notes are mild, herby, and you will get a hint of cardamom and orange peel.

On the nose, you will get juniper, nutmeg and rosemary. And for full on susegad feels, enjoy it with tonic, soda, slice of orange or with ginger ale. The lovely Gin comes in a stout, opaque blue bottle that looks real classy. Adriel wants the blue to represent the calm, sun and the sand, and the susegad life. And we bet it does.
