Since all guidelines have been relaxed for tourists, hotels have been told to keep one room spare as a mandatory isolation room. Goa Health minister Vishwajit Rane stated,  “We are in the process of issuing guidelines for hotels, which will make it mandatory for them to reserve one room as an isolation room on their property.”

According to them, this will ensure that all citizens who display symptoms will get treatment at a timely basis. Even if the patient tests positive for Coronavirus but is asymptomatic, they can be put up in the isolation room at the hotel premises.

Speaking further, the Minister also stated that borders will not be sealed for tourists anymore. Even though the state has been open to tourism for a while, it has not regained the kind of footfall that it is used to. The famous beach shacks in North Goa have opened up but only 40 percent of them are operational due to poor footfall.
