You'll soon be able to continue with phone conversations and binge watch your favourite shows on your way to work after the installation of these devices.
Ever wondered why your phone screen displayed 'No Network' as soon as you changed your metro from the Yellow to Pink line? Well, that's because these metro lines had no network boosters; but thanks to DMRC, that won't be the case anymore. Delhi Metro's Pink and Magenta lines will soon install these advanced devices for uninterrupted network connectivity.
The DMRC has already conducted trials of these boosters on both the lines and is currently assessing whether the same service can be extended to the other Metro lines as well. The decision to install these network boosters on the Pink and Magenta lines was taken because the problem was particularly prevalent on these routes. The Pink line has 11 underground stations with a total of 28 stations and the Magenta Line has a total of 25 stops and 23 of them are underground.
Soon after this, the metro officials also plan to install mobile towers in the Blue, Violet and Yellow lines. So, Delhiites say hello to uninterrupted phone conversations and binge-watching your favourite shows while you're on your way to work after the installation of these devices!
