A recipe video published by global food network Tasty described gulab jamun as ‘Indian fried doughnuts’, which did NOT go down well with the Indian public!

We’re all used to restaurants dreaming up fancy, appetising names to disguise some sub-standard, distinctly unappetising dishes. However, global food network Tasty took the art of naming dishes too far in one of their popular recipe videos. Showcasing how to make gulab jamun, Tasty risked the wrath of Indian food enthusiasts all over the world by referring to the beloved dessert as ‘Indian Fried Doughnuts’.
