1. Shri Venkateswara College



Popularly called Venky, Shri Venkateswara College was established in 1997. One of the top institutes in the field of science, arts, and commerce, Venky started out as a college for South Indian students. Though these days, there are no reservations for linguistic minorities. The college offers BA, B.Com, B.Sc, MA and M.Sc courses along with various short-term add-on courses.

2. Lady Shri Ram College 



Since its establishment in 1956 by Lala Shri Ram, LSR has emerged as one of the best art colleges in the country. The Lady Shri Ram College for Women offers honours courses in various subjects like English, Mathematics, Psychology, Economics, Journalism, and a few more. This college is usually on the top of the list for most female DU aspirants. 

3. Jesus & Mary College



Popularly known as JMC, this is yet another women's only college in Delhi University. Established by St. Claudine Thevenet and aimed at providing Christian education to young women, JMC has 50 per cent seats reserved for Catholics and Christians. Started in 1968 with only two courses, the college now offers BA, B.Sc, B.Com, and MA courses for different subjects. 

4. Shaheed Bhagat Singh College



Shaheed Bhagat Singh College was established in 1967 as a constituent college of the South Campus in Delhi University. Best known for its Department of Commerce, this co-ed college is located in Sheikh Sarai. Also known as SBSC, this institution is famous for the excellent performance of its students and placements with top-ranking companies in India and abroad.

5. Gargi College



Gargi College has steadily progressed to be one of the leading institutes in the University of Delhi. It is the only women's college in South Campus that offers courses in four streams - Science, Commerce, Arts, and a Teacher Training Programme in Elementary Education. In 2009, the Department of Biotechnology in the Ministry of Science & Technology awarded this college a grant for establishing a bioinformatics facility on campus.

6. Kamla Nehru College



Kamla Nehru College is listed among the best art colleges in the country. Built in the memory of freedom fighter Kamla Nehru, this college provides a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in arts and commerce. In addition to UG and PG courses, KMC also provides restructured courses in Office Management and Secretarial Practice, Industrial Relations, and Personnel Management.

7. Delhi College of Arts & Commerce



As its name suggests, Delhi College of Arts & Commerce offers a number of courses in arts and commerce along with courses in journalism and mass communication. Established in 1987, it is a premier institution for higher education that provides an excellent environment for its students.
