South Campus Versus North Campus? Which One Is Better? Let's Find Out!

There’s no better or best as each campus holds a significance in all the ex-students or even the present students' lives.

We all have memories of our college days in Delhi University, whether you were at a college in North Campus or South. Everyone has a certain bias towards their campuses, because of the amazing memories they collected over the years.

Even though South Campus and North Campus both have their own perks, let’s see which one is better in terms of everything, from infrastructure to cafes, accessibility to markets and much more.

1. College Campuses

South Campus vs North Campus

We have to give this one to North Campus because every college is connected to another which makes mingling with other students much easier and isn’t that what college is about. Whereas, the infrastructure of the colleges in South Campus like JMC and Venky is definitely something that gives heavy competition to universities abroad.

2. Cafes Around

South Campus vs North Campus

This would be a tie between both the campuses as both have equally amazing cafes like QD’s and BYD around but we do agree that North Campus has more options. As they can even go to Majnu Ka Tilla, Kamla Nagar and GTB Nagar when it comes to looking for some affordable food.

3. Canteens

South Campus vs North Campus

North Campus has super cheap food in all the college canteens, we especially love the SRCC canteen and Hindu College’s canteen. But, on the other hand, colleges like Venky, JMC, Maitreyee and even RLA have some amazing food in the college canteens. We also love the main South Campus area next to RLA, as they are known to serve the yummiest and cheapest food you’d ever get anywhere.

4. Shopping

South Campus vs North Campus

Even though North Campus has Kamla Nagar and MT, there's no comparison when it comes to Sarojini and luckily it is just a 20 minute ride from Dhaula Kuan. Reasons, why you’ll see all the South Campus girls wearing Sarojini stuff all the time is because we’d be heading there every Monday to get some cheap stuff starting at Rs 20.

5. Festivals & Extracurricular

South Campus vs North Campus

SRCC's fest was probably one of the most popular festivals in Delhi University but despite that, you’d see all the people in town heading to LSR or JMCs Montage for whatever reason possible. People would even pay money just to get a glimpse of these women lead festivals. And everything is so well maintained and carefully curated by these ’All girls college’, so yes Go Girl Power!

Conclusion: There’s no better or best as each campus holds a significance in all the ex-students or even the present students' lives. Sometimes, North Campus folks head to the South as they get bored of their campuses and the same goes for the South.
