According to reports, a National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRC) team recently visited Ayodhya to discuss the plan of action and to finalise the land for the bullet train station. The train will be covering a distance of 670 kilometres at a speed of 320 to 350 kmph.

According to the detailed plan, a 941.5-kilometre track will be formed between Delhi and Varanasi via Agra, Lucknow, and Prayagraj, with a separate track of 130 kilometres being formed between Lucknow and Ayodhya. The land for this project has been allotted to NHSRC by the state government.

As the station will be in close proximity to the new airport being planned, the NHSRC has even applied for a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the airport authorities. Upon receiving the NOC, the project will commence, connecting Lord Ram's birthland to the National Capital. The project, that connects Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Delhi, has an estimated total cost of around Rs. 2 lakh crores.
