Now Travel From Delhi To Kasol In A Jiffy As Mandi Is Getting A New Airport Soon!

No more sleepless bus rides from Delhi to Kasol.

Kasol is a place of many wonders and being there is one of the most blissful experiences, especially if you're a mountain lover. Having said that, the road that leads to this beautiful town is a treacherous one. It takes a 12-14 hour uncomfortable journey, wherein you have to switch buses at multiple places, to reach this place.

Now in order to mitigate this troublesome ordeal, the Himachal Pradesh government is planning to build a new airport near Mandi that will make travel to Parvati and Tirthan Valley convenient and fast at the same time.

This has plan received a green signal from the Central Government and the news was made public by the HP CM Jai Ram Thakur after a meeting with the Civil Aviation, Housing & Urban Affairs minister Hardeep Singh Puri recently. The new airport in Mandi will be constructed as a joint venture between the state government and the Airport Authority of India. The detailed plan for the project will be revealed in a week and the state government will also begin the process of land acquisition for the airport soon.

Apart from building a new airport in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh is also boosting connectivity to the state with the landing of the A320 aircraft in Gaggal and ATR74 aircraft at the Shimla and Bhuntar airports. The state administration is simultaneously working on expanding the runways of the existing airports in the city. The moves will definitely help ensure better connectivity of the state to other parts of the country while alleviating the travel woes of tourists visiting the mountains.
