Learn The Ancient Art Of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu From The Master Himself!

Siddharth Singh is the first person to hold 3rd degree Purple Belt in BJJ.

Bored of the same workout regime and want to try your hand at something unique and different, then head over to Crosstrain to learn the distinctive discipline Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). It's is a form of submission wrestling derived from traditional Japanese Judo; however, not many know that it actually has its roots in ancient Indian wrestling.

This discipline is taught under the guidance of Siddharth Singh, founder of Crosstrain and the first person to hold the highest level achieved by an Indian which is a 3rd Degree Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and thats not all, he also happens to be - the South Asian Champion, 6 time Indian national BJJ champion and is the captain of the Indian team at the upcoming Asian Indoor Games in Turkmenistan.

BJJ trains people in ground fighting, mainly because it’s estimated that 80% of all street fights and attacks take place on the ground, yet very little is done to train for this. Like the point wrestling, which we see in the ‘Akharas’ today, this martial arts wrestling form is a fascinating sport where anyone can learn how to defeat size and brute strength, equipping you with the right kind of self defence techniques.

In a society where women find themselves constantly at risk from potential attackers at any point in time, this is an ideal sport for women to learn self defence and prevent themselves from potentially life threatening scenarios.

Furthermore, if you are looking to improve your cardiovascular endurance, lose weight, put on lean muscle mass, and learn something new or if you wish to fight competitively, then BJJ is the right fit for you.

They have beginner and advanced level BJJ programs. Apart from their regular trainers they also bring in fighters from various promotions (national as well as International) to make their classes more challenging and thrilling.
