Ladies, Now Travelling In City’s Buses Is A Safe Decision To Make!

Widening your options for safe travel, the Delhi government installs 10 panic buttons in each of its DTC buses.

Safety has always been an alarming issue in Delhi. More than anything, it has instilled fear in the residents, especially among women, refraining them from utilizing public transport facilities even during broad daylight. Waking up to the alarm and taking the note of the situation, the Delhi government has installed 10 panic buttons in each of the public buses to ensure total safety of the women commuters.

These panic buttons will directly be linked to the central control room in the transport department office. On raising an alert, the concerned authorities and the police would be notified at the very instant, therefore creating no delays due to third-party involvement and lack of information.

However, prior to this plan, the Delhi government had decided to install 4 panic buttons and 3 CCTV cameras but now there shall be 5 panic buttons on each side of the bus
