The Most Hardcore Facial You’ll Get In Delhi

Masah Spa in Defence Colony has earned itself a loyal clientele in the last year and we love their body massages but this time, we tried out their Hydra Facial - a heavy duty treatment which involves Vit C water and red light infusion.

Masah Spa is a relatively new establishment which has made quite an impression owing to its high-end spa treatments done with Thalgo products at super affordable prices (they have body massages starting a Rs 1500). They’ve recently been getting a lot of attention for their Hydra Facial. We decided to check it out for ourselves. It's located in a basement next to the Defence Colony flyover and is a cosy, prettily done up space.

The Hydra Facial starts with a basic face cleanse, followed by a machine roll on which contains Vitamin C water. You’ll feel some pressure at this point but it doesn’t hurt or anything. Your face is then wrapped in a comforting warm towel and the only painful part begins - blackhead and whitehead removal. You are then presented with a scary looking mask which treats your skin with red light infusion. This stays on for a while and you’re treated to a foot and leg massage at the same time. It really helps you forget that your face was being plucked at just minutes ago.

Your face, neck and shoulders are then massaged, glazed with a serum and you’re good to go. After a cup of green tea with honey, of course.

Note: It’s likely that your skin will stay flushed for some time, especially if it’s on the sensitive side. So try not to schedule this on a day you have a hot date. Give it a night to settle in. My skin felt immediately softer, more elastic and in the next two days, completely cleared out.

This particular treatment will set you back by around Rs 4,000 but keep a lookout for discounts and offers. Their body massages start at a mere Rs 1,500.
