Here’s A Super Mom Who Is Investing In Her Daughter’s Travel Plans Instead Of Her Wedding!

Four-year-old Khwaish Ghai’s birthday has always been special, to the extent that when she’ll grow up, we are sure that she’s always going to look back and thank her parents. At the age of four, the girl has already travelled to 6 beautiful countries and many parts of India, all thanks to her super mom Silky Puri, who’s investing it all in her travel plans instead of her future marriage!

A corporate honcho and blogger, Silky says that she and her husband Gagan share a common love for travel and have seen most of the places around the globe together. But when their daughter took birth, the narrative changed completely. She was told by many that her life’s going to change now, especially because it’s a girl child and she will have to save a lot of money for her wedding!

Breaking all the stereotypes and wanting to do away with the traditional way of living, both Silky and Gagan took the first step and decided that they won’t save money for Khwaish’s wedding or invest in a home. Not just that, Silky also took a strong decision to not let her motherhood affect her undying love of traveling.

With that thought in mind, post her delivery, Silky didn’t wait a minute longer and took off to Dubai during her maternity leave with the newly-born Khwaish. The duo explored the city for hours at a stretch, without the latter being restless or cranky. There were plenty of breast-feeding rooms around and it just was just the beginning, she says.

Now each birthday means a new place to them. What the little kiddo otherwise would have learnt in school through her textbooks, has absorbed it all live and happening through her visits. So far, she has witnessed the serene beaches of Goa, the dry deserts of Jaisalmer, Amsterdam’s canals, Switzerland’s snow-capped mountains, Himachal’s majestic valleys, Singapore’s skyline, and so many more popular destinations in the world!
