Are you a Gurgaon resident or a newly moved-in out-of-towner? Either way, here’s a comprehensive list to the best malls in the city!

Gurgaon is known for a lot of things..roads that vanish after it rains once, being South Delhi’s distant cousin, and of course, MALLS! If you’ve just shifted here and want to get to know your area better, then this is the list for you, as we've compiled the most thorough guide to the best malls in Gurgaon!

1. Ambience Mall, Gurgaon

Ah, the landmark you see as you soon enter Gurgaon via NH48, Ambience Mall is a fixture and adds to the city’s sleek aura. Spread over Ambience Island, it offers an unparalleled shopping experience. You can find all your favourite brands here - be it Zara, H&M, Vero Moda, M&S, or even Guess and Diesel. Apart from a shopping destination, the mall also has one of the best PVR cinemas in Gurgaon. You can also find a ton of great restaurants here. As such, this is the perfect place for any kind of outing- be it with family, friends, or a significant other, and is one of Delhi NCR’s best malls.

Where: National Highway - 8, Ambience Island, DLF Phase 3, Sector 24

2. Ardee Mall, Gurgaon

Yes, Ardee Mall finally got made, and no, it wasn’t haunted! The empty building that would often greet Gurgaon residents on their way to their myriad commitments, was turned into one of the city’s new-found loves. It opened earlier this year, and since then has attracted throngs of patrons, thanks to its accessible location, shiny interiors, and amazing services. However, the USP for us is definitely Gurgaon’s first ever Big Chill that is housed here. You can also shop from M&S, Accessorize, NewU, and more, making it one of the best malls in Gurgaon.

Where: Ardee City Rd, Block B, Ardee City, Sector 52

3. MGF Metropolitan Mall

MGF Metropolitan is one the oldest malls in Gurgaon, and as such, happens to be a city staple. It’s a favourite among Gurgaon residents, and is part of the city’s skyline and overall environment. Moreover, it's as if the mall is always there - when you need to watch that latest movie but don’t have the patience to travel to Ambience, or when you just want to have a low-key family outing. Moreover, it's just the perfect place to hang out without any frills - there’s Om Book Shop for bookworms, a Barista for a quick date, and a myriad of shops that are perfect for buying reasonably priced products.

Where: DLF City Phase II, Mehrauli-Gurgaon Rd, Heritage City, Sector 25

4. City Centre

The granddaddy of Gurgaon malls, City Centre has seen it all! We’ve all been here for one thing or the other - a last ditch attempt to get a Diwali outfit from Meena Bazaar, a quick movie outing at DT Cinemas, a family meal at Not Just Paranthas, or to just purchase some necessary home decor (and more!) from Home Town. As such, being a Gurgaon-ite, is incomplete without going to City Centre, especially because of the comfort and familiarity it exudes! Also pro-tip - the Ice Cream Soda, and Brownie with Chocolate Sauce & Ice Cream at the Barista here are the best!

5. MGF Metropolis

The younger cousin of City Centre and MGF Metropolitan, Metropolis is one of our favourite shopping destinations. It is open and airy and even the theatre over here is of premium quality and will provide you with a great movie-going experience. You can also find the best of fashion at Lifestyle and Pantaloons over here, especially as both are underrated brands that happen to be budget-friendly as well! We also love the architecture at Metropolis, as it is perfect for roaming around on a lazy Sunday. These qualities, without question, make this one of the best malls in Gurgaon!

Ah, Mega Mall! One of the oldest malls in Gurgaon, it houses quite a few hidden gems. One such shop is Lakshita, where you get amazing jeggings. The mall also has some great spas, so weary yuppies, you know where you need to head to when you want to de-stress! You can also indulge in your love for ethnic wear at the Biba and FabIndia outlets. All of these stores are, of course, complemented with a great (and diverse) food court and PVR cinemas!

South Point Mall is the favourite haunt of Golf Course Road residents, and for good reason! It obviously has Le Marche, but if you take a closer tour of the mall, you’ll find a ton of underrated cute cafes and unique stores such as Chapter 101. Also, you can take care of your grooming and beauty needs here thanks to the NEU Salon, Geetanjali, and L’Amour, among others.

8. Gurgaon Central

One of our favourite shopping destinations, Gurgaon Central is definitely every shopaholic’s dream place. It houses brands such as Pepe Jeans, Vero Moda, Global Desi, Indigo Nation, Ray Ban, Titan, and more that offer some of the best deals and bargains anywhere in the city! So, if you’re looking to upgrade your wardrobe, but are tired of getting stuff from the same, fast-fashion stores, you should check this old-but-gold mall out.

9. Good Earth City Centre

Good Earth is one of our new favourite hang-out spots, and for good reason! While not exactly a mall, it is a mall-cum-shopping-centre-cum-open market - a bit of an abridged version of Galleria, if you will! It has all our favourite shopping haunts - NewU, Global Desi, Nike, FabIndia, and more. Moreover, we love the eateries here, and they are especially perfect for a relaxed lunch on a winter afternoon, be it at Chaayos, Tea Halt or 0124 Bar Exchange. As such, Good Earth City Centre is our favourite spot to chill on the weekend, given its great location (it isn’t too far from any Gurgaon residents place) and open-air atmosphere!
