Agree or disagree, Samosa is a reigning king when it comes to the street food served in Delhi (and elsewhere too!). Having said so, you will find umpteen eateries big and small, offering multiple variants of this popular snack.

And since its winters and there’s nothing better of a breakfast than devouring some fresh, straight off the stove, and mouth-watering samosas, I strolled the streets of West Delhi and discovered this gem that has been in the business for past 21 years! I’m talking about Kumar Samose Wala!

A small, quaint, and no-frills eatery in the bylanes of Moti Nagar, the iconic Kumar Samose Wala has created its niche in the market with as many as 25 different samosas for us to gorge on! Not just Delhiites, but even people from neighbouring places come here for a feast (I spotted an adorable family from Amritsar eating their heart out!). In fact, the demand for samosas served here is at its peak all the time, so much so that when the eatery opens at 10 in the morning, people start pouring in masses to grab their favourite samosas.

Since I too reached here quite early to check what the buzz is about, I saw the batter and fillings being freshly prepared and it was indeed a sight to catch! The cleanliness and hygiene level maintained makes it all the more interesting to head here for an insane binge-fest.

I started off with its Pizza Samosa, and let me tell you that I was completely blown away with its composition. Crack the outer layer, and there you see smoke and melted cheese oozing out to woo your taste buds.

I couldn’t settle with just one and ended up ordering another - the Tandoori Paneer Samosa this time. Chunks of paneer immersed in lip-smacking gravy and spices, this dish had me snarfing like a hungry hound!

Next up, I also tried its White Sauce Pasta Samosa. Replete with spices and seasonings, this Indianised version of Italian delight can give anyone a run for their money! Besides that, I also got my hands on the Chowmein Samosa, that featured piquant orange-coloured noodles, ticking all the right boxes when it comes to being an absolute treat. Salivating already, aren’t you?

Just when I thought I was done, I spotted the Chocolate Samosa on the menu. The outer crust has a layer of chocolate all over it, the stuffing was of dry fruits, making it unmissable.
