A lot of North Indians assume that anything South Indian is strictly vegetarian. Well, that perspective will undergo a 360 degree change once you dine at Tenali. With an extensive menu consisting of vegetarian AND non-vegetarian delicacies, this restaurant promises a 'meaty' extravaganza to its customers. Our recommendations? The Spicy Chicken Curry and Mutton Fry, staple dishes of the Andhra cuisine and oh so delicious.

Tenali sources spices from Andhra, and the chef (from the same region) makes use of them while preparing the dishes so as to ensure authentic taste and flavours. It is amazing how such simple spices can dramatically elevate a dish such as a chicken or mutton curry. If you're looking for a fiery appetiser, go for the Chicken Fry, which is deep fried and has a tender interior and crisp exterior. Other popular dishes on the menu include the Chicken Korma (Andhra style of course) and Gongura Mutton. They serve a thali as well, which includes sambhar, rasam, lemon rice, dry vegetable, and a chicken and mutton dish. What you need after all that spice is buttermilk to give your stomach some relief from the heat, so make sure you order that in the end.
