The event is being planned to promote off-beat tourist destinations in Almora.

Adventure junkies have something fun coming up for them at the start of the year. The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTTB) and Almora District Administration will be hosting the Marchula Adventure Meet, from the 8th of this month that will help visitors explore the state in a new light by taking part in various adventure activities and exploring the region while doing so.

The 5-day event, which will be held at various locations concurrently, will feature thrilling adventure sports like air balloon rides, zorbing, rock climbing, water roller, cliff jumping, kayaking, zip lining, trail run, mountain biking, off-roading, river crossing, and much more.

The event is being planned by the state tourism department in order to promote off-beat tourist destinations in Almora. Almora is one of the most famous hill stations in Uttarakhand, with a rich cultural and natural heritage, and a beckoning place for hip tourists with an affinity for new-age travel. The district will be hosting many of the activities lined-up during the 5-day event, which will also include a special 'Marchula Haat' that will feature local product shots, and food stalls set up for visitors.
