A 70-Feet Tall Installation With 15,000 Sanitary Pads To Be Displayed In CP

Making history by installing the largest sanitary pad structure made using 15,000 pads, this Delhi-based NGO is changing the game in the world of menstrual hygiene.

According to a survey conducted by the World Health Organisation (WHO), 43 per cent of Indian women don't have access to sanitary pads. The survey also found that 67 per cent of women have borrowed a sanitary pad from a friend, colleague, etc at some point, due to lack of availability in their surroundings. As sad as the reality is, this NGO called 'PadBank' is changing the game in the world of menstrual hygiene and raising awareness by installing a 70-feet tall and 25-feet wide structure made using 15,000 pads. Pretty cool, right?

PadBank is an NGO that is known to provide free sanitary napkins to women who cannot afford them, and have to settle for other options that are often extremely unhygienic. This event is an initiative to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene and also an attempt to set a national record, by installing the largest design of a pad.
