Whenever we hear the words “Model Town”, our heart goes “Sanu Vi Jhoota De Do” because who wouldn’t want to explore this wonderful area? So on that note, here are five exciting reasons why you should head to Model Town for your next outing.
1. Go For Boat Riding At Naini Lake!
Model Town’s own hidden gem, the serene Naini Lake is where you can unwind yourself, enjoy boat rides, or click Insta-worthy pictures with a beautiful backdrop. This serene lake, which is quietly tucked away in a residential area, could be your new secret getaway spot.
2. Take A Romantic Stroll At Coronation Park
The location of the Delhi Durbar of 1877, when Queen Victoria became the Empress of India, this memorial ground serves as Model Town's very own picnic spot. A popular choice for relaxing evening walks and romantic strolls, this is another distinctive place in Model Town.

Azadpur Mandi is Asia's largest wholesale market for fruits and vegetables! First set up in 1977, it is a National Distribution Centre that was announced as a Market of National Importance in India in 2004. No matter how much we try to put it in words, the sense of calm and tranquillity you feel inside a gurudwara is indescribable. Dedicated to the first Sikh Guru Sri Guru Nanak Dev, this gurudwara in Model Town is as beautiful on the outside as it is peaceful on the inside. Also, the prasad and langar served here is just heavenly (pun intended!)
