Air Quality In Delhi Dips By 100 Percent, No Relief Until Next Week

The rise in dust might be accompanied with an increase in the temperature.

Whats Hot elhi

This week, Delhiites recieved a little respite from the sizzling weather conditions due to slight rain and overcast conditions. But, after a brief spell of relief from the temperature, weather conditions in the city have resumed troubling the denizens yet again as heatwaves sizzled through the air, and the skies remained choked with fumes on Thursday. The worst part is that the situation isn’t getting better anytime soon, in fact if anything at all, it is only getting worse as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast shows that the situation will only improve next week when rain comes down once again.

Whats Hot Delhi

The IMD has attributed this sudden dip in the city’s air quality to the increase in levels of PM10 and PM 2.5 particles in the air to the rise of dust laden winds across Delhi NCR. Lack of rains, heavy suspension of dust particulates in the air, and strong surface wind have further contributed to an increase in the particulate matter. It has also been predicted that the city’s worsening air quality is expected to continue until the next week and will be accompanied by warm winds.

The average temperature of the city is expected will remain oscillating between 31 and 39 degree Celsius
