Dotted with quite a few old-school breakfast joints and eateries like Brahmin’s Coffee Bar and Vidhyarthi Bhavan, Basavangudi is where you can tuck into regional dishes and meals. And, Puliyogare Point is one such hole-in-the-wall restaurant you need to check out when in the hood. With its no-frills set-up and ambience, the place might not look special but try their food and we bet you’ll change your mind.

It goes without saying that the Puliyogare here is the show-stealer. The tamarind rice, prepared with a dash of spices and peanuts, is just the right blend of tangy and spicy. Try it with the curd served along with the dish. Another crowd favourite here would be the Sakkar Pongal, a sweet and gooey preparation which is a perfect way to end your meal here.
