A haven for trekkers and cyclists, Turahalli Forest is where you can get an escape from the city. This green space stands as the only surviving forest of Bangalore. Full of eucalyptus trees, Turahalli also provides a natural rock climbing experience for adventure enthusiasts. A great lush-green space amidst a concrete jungle, spread across 494 acres, the Jarkabandi State Forest has the Deccan plateau vegetation with thorny jungle and eucalyptus trees. This forest, divided into Block A and Block B, used to be a huge sandalwood reserve, hence you would come across a lot of sandalwood trees in this jungle. Get a rich experience of fauna with over 71 species of birds. Oh, and you might even get to spot sloth bears and even spotted leopards.
