BFlat Just Announced They're Shutting Down And We're Completely Heartbroken!

Bangalore’s first dedicated live performance venue is closing down and we’re trying our best not to break into tears.

When BFlat opened its doors to Bangalore’s music lovers and party-goers, way back in 2009, little did we know it would go on to become one the city’s best gig venues. Whether it’s the welcoming space, the top-notch acoustics, the lovely music community it has come to foster or the diverse lineup of artistes they’ve had over the years, this Indiranagar spot found its way into our favourites in no time. So, when we came across BFlat’s Facebook post (on September 18) about the place shutting down, we were truly heartbroken.

After a decade as the ooru’s first dedicated live performance venue, BFlat is closing its doors on October 2. While Indiranagar’s rising issues and residents’ complaints related to pubs playing live music might have led to this painful decision, the folks at BFlat hope to return in a new avatar, as per their post. However, it’s going to be bidding farewell for now. While we hope they have a goodbye gig before they leave, we’re going to be heading there with our gang for a final meal and some music (and plenty of reminiscing!) over the next couple of weeks.
