Love Stargazing? Bangalore's Getting Its Very First Constellation Park!

Love watching the night sky? Bangalore’s getting its very first constellation park! While several medicinal plants and trees have been planned to be part of the space, we’re looking forward to what this unique spot will shape up to be.

Always found the night sky to be just so enchanting? Whether it’s to watch the inky blue sky or the numerous stars and constellations dotting it, it can be a delight just to sit back and let the night sky captivate you. That’s just what you can hope to do at Bangalore’s very first constellation park! Touted to come up soon, the constellation park will be coming up on an empty plot near Bal Bhavan in Cubbon Park.

The project has been taken up by Smart City Limited and they’ve already prepared the design work for the park. Once specifics like the irrigation and pipeline works are finished, the project will begin, as per reports. Apart from its starry significance, the park will be dedicated to medicinal plants, we hear. With saplings of plants like Indian gooseberry, Magnolia Champaca, Banyan, Ashoka and Neem, to be planted here, the trees are believed to purify the air and benefit visitors over time. With the architect and contractors all appointed for the project, the work is all set to kickstart. While Karnataka already has constellation parks in Mysore, Hubballi and Chikkaballapur, this will be the first of its kind in Bangalore. Time to get your stargazing game on point, guys!
